Sega Rally Championship is a 1994 arcade racing game developed by AM5 on the Sega Model 2 board. The unique selling point of Sega Rally was the ability to drive on different surfaces (including asphalt, gravel and mud), with different friction properties, with the car's handling changing accordingly. As the first racing game to incorporate this feature, Sega Rally is considered to be one of the milestones in the evolution of the racing game genre. When you say arcade games + Sega, my mind immediately jumps to some excellent car-driving games, namely Daytona USA and Sega Rally (and Outrun... and Crazy Taxi... and...). One of gaming's simplest and greatest joys, racing your friends, or the computer, or even just the timer. On the Dreamcast I enjoyed Daytona USA more than that system's Sega Rally offering, but for the Saturn I've found myself digging Rally more. On the Saturn, Sega Rally Championship looks better, plays better, and just feels better. There are very few courses or cars (especially by today's standards... we are spoiled these days lol), but still, there's good fun to be had in really learning those courses and getting a perfect handling of your car. A feel-good game through and through.

Truly, in no other game does it feel this good to lose. :)
