Finally beat this game. Would love to 100% it at some point, but there's a lot of moons haha.

850 moons. Still need to beat rabbit ridge and darker side. Some of the moons I haven’t gotten are the volleyball, jump rope, race in wooded kingdom, and a warp to lake kingdom (likely the only one I’ll get). Not going to bother getting all the purple coins and costumes. Great game!

What a comeback! I loved playing this game when it came out. It brought me back faith after the lackluster 3d land/world. The worlds are so unique and charming. The movement is phenomenal. And the characters are so vibrant and funny. Such a fun game. Got all 999 moons too ;)

999 power moons, every outfit, song and souvenir plus over 80 hours in the books, Mario Odyssey is retired. My one piece of advice is, if you plan on buying everything, make sure you collect more coins along the way!

OK. I did the thing.

I listed all the references and easter eggs to Nintendo Games in the Mario movie. There are A LOT.

I hope you like it because it was a lot of work. Just don't ask how I got the pictures for the article. If you noticed …

First though after finishing the game: I wonder if Mario and Peach swap bodies every now and then using the magic hat to spice things up in the bedroom?

Wait, so I need to speak with Toadette once for every achievement I got? Who thought this was a good idea? Just give me all achievements once!

After not feeling a couple of different games I decided to go safe with a critically-acclaimed game I should play. And well, surprise surprise, it is great. Super nice level design, varied gameplay. I mean, it's a mainline Mario game; the folk at Nintendo have it all figured it out and know how to make a good 3D platformer.

(A shame that it's sullied with the stench of motion controls, though. I really wish they gave that up once and for all.)

BTW, I don't know if it's a testament to the advancement in emulator technology, the convergence of console and PC hardware, or the lacklustre hardware of the switch, but how crazy it is to be able to emulate current gen consoles on a laptop?
