I did libra of souls (recently) and soul chronicles (years ago), but only enough to get through the main stories. Libra of souls is pretty meh, too much focus on characters I don't care about really and old characters only get cameos. The good/evil choices don't really make the story feel all that different for the main story except changing the ending. I find myself enjoying Weapon Master mode from Soul Calibur 2 more. The character creator is great. I honestly didn't bother relearning the deeper mechanics, but game was still fun, even if I prefer SC2 (nostalgia and less to learn).

I stopped at Soulcalibur III, and apparently nothing has changed in terms of movements, which I managed to do very well again.

There are some modes in the game like Soul Chronicle where it explains better the story surrounding this franchise, Libra of Soul where the player can create his own character, in which he can do side quests, beyond the main quests, hire mercenaries, buy better weapons and items, etc. where each mission has there conditions to win, and this all happens in a common time span with the other characters, which is cool.

Not forgetting this Soulcalibur has some new characters to play and the player can challenge other players online.

Perhaps the only thing I found negative in the game is the lack of varied items to to create a character. But it is still an interesting game to play.

With the addition of Cassandra I've jumped back in. New Soul Chronicles to do, and Cassandra is certainly fun to play. I'm surprised they haven't retuned 2B yet.

Ok wow. I've always wanted to play the soulcalibur games, but just never got the chance to. So when my local library got this game I jumped at the chance to try it out, And was not disappointed at all. As a trainee swordsman training in 3 different sword styles and an avid saber duelist I was really expecting the game to be fun but super unrealistic in the swordplay area, but I was amazed to see that it was so realistic I even recognized some of the techniques that my teachers had taught me, The rest seemed improvised, but thats what much of sword play is about. Forms aside the gameplay was super fun, I even had my 10, 11, and 14 year old siblings playing this game with me having a blast. Fighting all over the rings, trying to dodge every swing thrown your way, even planning when to use your special move was so seamless and enjoyable that I wasn't even looking for criticisms. The campaign was kinda repetitive, but there's so much content that if you just keep on pushing it could take you many days to finish. I also love the ability to create your own character and use it in battle. overall a really great game that I would definitely recommend to everyone.
