It features more items, new levels, and more enemies than the DS predecessor. I've played through this with my kids and then played through it alone. Both experiences were different, and equally enjoyable. I felt like I saw more of the game on my single play through, and that I had a good time shared with my kids. I wouldn't not have done it any other way, as I was able to have the full experience. It's a Really good game! It's not going to dethrone Super Mario World as king though, as that seems to have a special place in my heart, and the Mushroom Kingdom.

I have spent countless hours playing this with my friends. Very nostalgic game for me. The worlds are enjoyable and level design is fun.

This one is more enjoyable than New Super Mario Bros on DS simply because of the multiplayer. Highly recommend this is played with more than one person, otherwise it's pretty forgettable.

Played this for a bit on the real Wii with Victoria before the election fallout last night. She figured out the "turn me into a bubble" button quickly and had fun shaking the controller. I found the controls noticeably more responsive than on the Dolphin emulator and that significantly improved the gameplay. Also the aforementioned controller shaking action works just …

Played this for a bit on the real Wii with Victoria before the election fallout last night. She figured out the "turn me into a bubble" button quickly and had fun shaking the controller. I found the controls noticeably more responsive than on the Dolphin emulator and that significantly improved the gameplay. Also the aforementioned controller shaking action works just fine (it stopped working on Dolphin recently and that made this game much less playable). Looking forward to playing this again with Cyrus and the girls.

We finished it. Enjoyed the end boss fight. Still gotta get all the coins though.
