I have fundamentally mixed feelings about this game, from the very beginning i already knew it was retro pixelated and a bit basic but i like so many others embraced that and was rewarded with an enjoyable experience. The story is quite compelling, the enemy ruthless, there are great characters, good and evil. i absolutely loved the look of everything, especially the colours. felt very much like a tribute to the games of old. i enjoyed all the quests which were suitably challenging and interesting.... this is where we come to the downside. the quests were very good unfortunately it became very confusing when after trying to solve one particular very important side quest for the entire game i found out the item i needed had been used for something else. this quest involved saving one character in particular and i believed was very important to the story and the hero, i was given no choice at all on this. i think the game was trying to create the opportunity to pick your own story and end up with the rewards for what you had chosen- completely pointless though when you are given no choice or way of knowing. very …
