I beat another campaign of this over the weekend. Each playthrough with a different faction and leader feels like a fresh game!

This time I played as the Brettonians, a faction that rather than emphasizing land conquest, emphasizes gaining chivalry, the primary way is beating evil enemies, and creating important buildings. So, rather than conquering territory and eliminating factions, I solidified my home front, basically taking all of Bretonnia, and joining with other brettonian factions, and then sent powerful armies out to evil domains to raze cities and beat armies. It was incredibly fun, with me nearly always on the offensive.

The final battle of the campaign is a show down between me and the forces of chaos. I had to send one army all the way into the chao waste, a trek in itself, and then fight 3 waves of chaos armies, each led by one of the chaos generals. SUCH A COOL END.

Warhammer Total war is a phenomenal strategy game, and if you like strategy games it is a must play!

After downloading more DLC, and the Grimhammer mod, I have dove back into this game, and have been loving it.

Grimhammer helps stop you from spamming only the best units, by attaching unlocks for better units to buildings, stopping you from recruiting more say Giants, or elite Swordmen, until you build another of their buildings.

This helps give those early units a place in your army in the late game, and helps those elite units feel elite and special throughout the game.

It also increases the garrison size, having every building chain unlock garrison units, though some are better then others. This means a roving band of 4 orc units can't take my economic outposts with ease. It does make early game conquering tough, but I have been enjoying the challenge.
