The tabletop is now a computer

Successfully recaptures the feeling of playing Warhammer Fantasy in a poorly lit basement all those years ago. I completed an Empire campaign and took a few unsuccessful runs at a Vampire Counts campaign. After about 80 hours I still feel like I've only scratched the surface of this wonderful entry in the Total War series.

Best Total War yet!

I am a HUGE total war fan, having extensively played Medieval 2, Shogun 2, Rome 2, and both Warhammers.

Warhammer Total War I think is my favorite of the franchise. It's diverse and unique factions makes each new campaign feel like a very different game, giving extensive replay value.

The map is gorgeous, the animations great, and the unit diversity breath taking. The battles are just as fun as past games, and the AI for diplomacy is the best for a Total War Game yet.

The biggest weakness of the game is I found the magic system to be comparatively weak to the combat heroes. With it always almost better just to fight with a dragon.

Well worth giving a try for any strategy fans!
