I still can't believe this game exists... a 100 million dollar, slow moving western drama, about a dude, trying to be a better man, embracing his mortality and exploring his morality, what a fucking game!

First impressions (PS4):
- It is already said many times, but yeah the controls feel very clunky at first. Arthur is either painfully slow or so fast that he ends up climbing tables or anything on the floor.
- First person camera REALLY helps, especially indoors. Since sometimes it's hard to see anything because of Arthur's huge hat.

First impressions (PS4):
- It is already said many times, but yeah the controls feel very clunky at first. Arthur is either painfully slow or so fast that he ends up climbing tables or anything on the floor.
- First person camera REALLY helps, especially indoors. Since sometimes it's hard to see anything because of Arthur's huge hat.
- I had a hard time trying to read tutorial texts while also trying to listen to dialogues. A temporary pause to read tutorial texts would've been really heplful.
- I went to the general store in the first town and the store's catalogue was filled with many different provisions, yet it's very hard to notice their differences at first sight. I have to juggle between pages and study each one of them carefully. So far I love the graphic design in the game and I understand that they chose the "realism" way but a little bit of color would make my life so much easier.
- Inspecting an object AND grabbing people is the same button. So I ended up getting into a fight with an old man for no reason, and now I have an 80 dollar bounty on my head, while our camp's whole treasury is around 40 dollars. Great.
Still, I'm having a great time! I'm saying "hello" to everyone I see -which sometimes backfires and creates hilarious results- and petting every dog I encounter. Can't wait to play again!

Well, I've done 43 story missions so far according to the in-game tracker. Still on Chapter 3 and I'm starting to reach my limit on how many cutscenes masquerading as gameplay I can tolerate.

i'm really lost with the controls and after dying twice, i spent 30 minutes trying to find a legendary bear. then i realized that i needed blackberries. so i spent 1 more hour trying to get it. i still didn't find the bear.

This is a superbly written article on Red Dead Redemption II, and fits how I felt about the game to a T. It also includes a nice little passage about why Breath of the Wild may be one of the best designed games to-date.
