Something very strange is happening to me with this franchise: on the one hand it has become my favorite video game franchise, but on the other hand I have a hard time finishing its games. what makes this franchise so great is its story and character development and for that reason I refuse to skip even a single text bubble. Every time the clock advances, the dialogue of all the characters changes. Each dialogue, no matter how tiny it may seem, contributes a lot to the world of the game, and that is why I read them all, but precisely that makes each of their games very exhausting mentally.enter image description here

So… this game is pretty cool but some things are just cringy. Like the “gender divided classes”: boys get to work with computers and girls have to do a cooking class? Really?

Getting into Chapter 3 and I think my only major complaint about this game so far is a change that seems little baffling to me...

Why do I need to keep walking back through dungeons every time I finish one? It feels like padding, especially when the last two games had teleports to get you out of finished dungeons quickly. …

Why do I need to keep walking back through dungeons every time I finish one? It feels like padding, especially when the last two games had teleports to get you out of finished dungeons quickly. Seems like a weird change to me.

That aside, this game is really good. I can see why some people say it's the best in series, the story moves at a nice, quick pace!

With two weeks before the release of the 4th game on PC, I finally sat down and finished this game, clocking in at about 60-ish hours and man what a ride. I knew the game would end in a cliffhanger and why I put off playing it until the next game was close to release on PC but MAN two weeks is still too long given what a cliffhanger it was. Though I also played it close to release because these games go the extra mile for the amount of content and world building you have to read through and I'd like to have it fresh in my mind going into the "Final(?)" game in the series. Sometimes I think about how the entirety of the ten games' scripts roughly amount to 8 million words... knocking out 1 million that's probably just side quests + in game books... it's quite alot and probably not something I can ever have fresh in my mind haha. Anyway, really looking forward to the 4th game in the Steel series and seeing all previous game's characters finally come together.

Not a fan of how the demo(/game ?) starts. Immediately dropped into battle with a lot of unknown concepts, and no guide into the battle system at all. Tutorial came after the prologue. Still would continue playing, and I was not disuaded from getting the game

The problem is I have bought more games like this one like: Tokyo Xanadu The Lost Child Star Ocean First Departure

I guess my problem is that I have constantly been playing games like this one with lots of talking and I am in need of a game with less chit chat and more battles. No idea which game. Maybe I need to replay one of my older games?

Part of me is happy we even got an English announcement for my favourite series. Part of me is crying because it's Nisa.

I really want news on localization of this title. It's been out in Japan for seven months already but we haven't even heard confirmation that it is getting localized, even though we have the first two games and everyone who has played them is on tenterhooks? Ugh. What's the hold-up in confirming this, I wonder...
