Main game

I really love the setting of this game. It's quirky and fun with a good story. Some of the puzzles are challenging, but most of them are doable on your own without trying everything with everything else, and if you do get stuck it has a very nice hint system.
It does have missing audio dialogue at places, which was annoying.
This was my second attempt to play through this game. Honestly, I only made it about 2 hours in.
There are several issues with this game and especially this Switch port. The first is the cryptic nature of the puzzles. I find them way too difficult and far out. There are simply too many options of combining and examining that it makes me way too confused. Now bear with me, I'm not your savvy point-and-click-logic guy, but I rather consider myself quite the casual gamer, not super try hard in other words. I find the puzzles to progress the game frustrated me to a point where it's just not fun. I don't find it that satisfying to look at the damn help function for literally every single area of the game.
On top of that, the controls for maneuvering the Switch port is at best absolutely terrible. I can see this working on a PC for sure but with the button pressing and unintuitively order of the cycling function with the trigger buttons just a confusing mess.
Lastly, I find the world-building and writing to be quite boring. The characters are supposed to be funny, and some are sure, but …

The story has potential sure, but not enough to pull me through all the puzzles and clunky controls. There simply are better point-and-click games out there to play.
Over & out.
This was really cute, I strongly recommend. The puzzles are good, and while some of them are a bit silly and not at all obvious, I think with enough hard work (or mindless trial and error) you’d be able to figure them all out without hints. I used a bunch of hints, but that didn’t diminish the enjoyment at all. There are a ton of things to figure out at various levels of difficulty as you go, so I took the approach of do what I can, work for a while on hard ones and if I get frustrated, use a hint.
The art style, characters and voices, animation, world building, just all comes together perfectly for a really nice time. It never overstays its welcome. The game benefits greatly from superb writing. Minus one star for the chunk of obtuse puzzles and Laura’s voice actor who seemed out of place for most of the game.
Nice artwork and a cool setting for a game, but it has the same downsides of most other games in the point and click adventure genre. I was hoping it would be different, but I just can't get into the plodding guess and check playstyle.
This is a super charming game filled with character. Some miss the mark, but the voice acting is great. There’ve been a few obtuse puzzles where I had to use hints pretty liberally, but otherwise it’s largely intuitive. If you like point and click games, this is a pretty good one. Looking forward to the rest!
