Review
This is an isometric zombie survival crafting roguelike. You pick one of three volunteers, explore small areas with respawning enemies and shoot/melee/craft/loot. Mainly you try to acquire permanent upgrades for the next dozen volunteers.
Initially i kinda liked this. Roguelike does make sense for this sort of game and you can craft a bunch of different things. But the cracks quickly start showing.
The main problem is that it is incredibly vague whether or not you can hit a target. Sometimes there's nothing blocking your shots and still they fail. No clue what the exact problem is. The next problem is the insane difficulty spike. The third area was littered with fast and kamikaze zombies, after only running into a couple fast zombies in previous areas.
Finally, with my new character i walked up to the permanent upgrade station. And i saw the massive list. It would take dozens of runs to even make a dent in it. You are so weak at first and death is inevitable because your character is infected. Most of the permanent upgrades are just boring stuff like "5% chance to fart softly" and "+3,57% more permanent upgrade points". Yeah, no thanks.
