This genre is not typically my cup of tea - a first person horror game that often feels like a walking sim more than anything else. This game, like REVEIL, is a big exception to the rule for me.
You play as a father who is looking for his daughter who ran away. Your memory is surprisingly foggy, and you begin exploring a very beautiful forest to find clues. The game has realllly cool level design. You truly feel like you are in a forest, and trying to find the way forward is often THE gameplay, which I really enjoyed.
There are also puzzles and some other mechanics, but the exploration and set design were just very impressive. The story is also interesting and I found it hard to put down.
For what it is, it nails the assignment. But still, not the type of game I would gravitate towards in the horror genre (much prefer 90’s and modern survival horror). But I would totally recommend it if a mysterious horror game in the woods interests you at all.
