I have been playing Runescape since 2004 in the public library. There is no way I can give a fair review of this game.
OSRS has a dedicated dev team that cares about the game and community deeply. It's easily to believe them when they say they're working on improving the game, and I've been a big fan of the direction updates have taken in the past few years. I don't enjoy high level combat in OSRS and they do focus on that in updates a lot, but the addition of skilling bosses like Wintertodt, Guardians of the Rift and Tempross feel like they're aware that the game has a diversity of playstyles. I play an Ironman and tend to avoid activities with a lot of involvement from other players. The game allows me to play like this and still thrive, but also allows for the opposite playstyle. I love OSRS, but I don't know who I'd ever recommend it to.
