I found this game a little disappointing. I played the first game and it was pretty original and fun, so I played this one too and... it's okay.

I mean, it's still fun and a good game, but I think it hasn't improved anything from the first game. Also, this game is absurdly easy. Three stars are so so easy …

I mean, it's still fun and a good game, but I think it hasn't improved anything from the first game. Also, this game is absurdly easy. Three stars are so so easy that I don't know why there are three stars at all. I mean, is it possible to do it SO bad that you get less than three stars? After the main story, they give you the fourth star, which is... absurdly hard. There is no medial way:

1 star: 100 points. 2 stars: 200 points. 3 stars: 300 points. 4 stars: 2500 points.

So I had fun indeed, but found it disappointing too. It could have been so good if they would have thought about improving the first game...

Today one of my brother-in-law came to visit and the three of us played Overcooked 2 and had a blast. this is definitely an absolutely fantastic party game.

Still loving it; playing it with my girlfriend. But I'm here to complain. Most levels are fun and have some clever mechanics, but a few of them are baffling. It's like the designers didn't know what was fun about the game. I'm talking specifically about the handful of levels which periodically block your movement.

It's like the designers didn't know what was fun about the game. I'm talking specifically about the handful of levels which periodically block your movement.

Last night we played one in which each part of the kitchen was in a separate "island" with bridges appearing and disappearing periodically. The problem is that most of the time was spent either boringly waiting for the bridge to appear, or boringly waiting for your character to respawn after falling into the water when one of the bridges disappeared right below your feet. Not fun at all. Just frustrating.

Update on my relationship status and controller health: it's all great! My girlfriend and I are having a blast. Even if it's sometimes (many times (most times)) (very) frustrating, we go through and mange to get at least 2 stars in every level so far.

More of the same...

I had no one to play with. It was still fun but felt same-y. Not a bad thing but the game gets really grating to solo.

Played this with a different set of people last night, and I really enjoy it best with minimal verbal communication where everyone just gets what everyone else is doing and you all evolve into this great quiet dynamic.

I love this game. Playing it with friends is just so fun, and playing alone has a surprising calming effect on me. My heart especially warms up when I go online and play with strangers and you guys just understand what needs to be done and fall into a great cooperative dynamic without having to speak or nudge each other or anything. It's an amazing fit for my cold solitary nights when I want to play something light.

This series makes me so happy. I love the Kevin levels in Overcooked! 2 and all the new recipes. The standard kitchen chaos is still great fun, but my partner and I have just completely fallen in love with the little world and have off-handedly come up with "true facts" about the chefs (I'm confident the onion king doesn't understand …

The standard kitchen chaos is still great fun, but my partner and I have just completely fallen in love with the little world and have off-handedly come up with "true facts" about the chefs (I'm confident the onion king doesn't understand a word of what Kevin is saying. If Kevin is extra enough to sit in a leather armchair demanding two chefs to make dumplings only for him, he's not about to take on the unbread all by himself. Kevin looks out for Kevin just fine.)

I just absolutely adore this game. My long distance buddies make a point once a week to play together. I'm not much of a person that enjoys competing against other people, so I love that we are working together to accomplish a goal. We recently got the new DLC, which is kicking our butts.
