My kid is intently watching the love story between the King and Queen of the Cosmos. This is the first love story they've believed in.

I told myself I'd buy this when it went on sale after loving the original (remake/remaster? I don't know enough about the original to say, but I played Reroll on Switch (when it was free for a week!)), and We Love Katamari is on sale so I bought it. I've been enjoying it, but you only get the experience of innovation the one time. With that experience missing, the core of Katamari is still a blast. However, the newer elements don't add much. They have plenty of new gameplay styles, but none are as fun as regular old Katamari. I also have just started skipping the story, not out of lack of interest but out of a desire to play the regular old Katamari segments.

Once again, the core gameplay of Katamari is strong. I'm having a good time. The music rocks, I like the art style, and I have a smile on my face basically the whole time I'm playing.

But the game is offering me Rocky Road ice cream when what I really want is regular old chocolate.

I'm gonna drop a bombshell without elaborating: We Love Katamari is The Matrix Resurrections if it was treated with respect.
