Rusty Lake Paradise is one of those puzzle adventure games that give me the 90's video game feel. You return to an island called "Paradise", where your family and its home is struck by the ten plagues that you would need to solve. The foremost characters are your peculiar family members, who are often involved in some bizarrely unpredictable events that make part of your progress.

The puzzles you come upon start out easy enough for a casual adventure fan in the first few chapters but the difficulty curve eventually scales up. Only a few puzzles or problems stumped me enough to look up the walkthrough, which the games kindly provides. It more than often rewarded me with reactions of the characters or environment that are entertaining and sometimes macabre. Missable achievements add to the replay value for the completionists, as well.

In the end, the story is more show than tell and some things may be hard to make sense. But adventure fans who enjoy a wide range of puzzle challenges, both easy and hard, are likely to enjoy Rusty Lake Paradise and other franchise titles.

Premesse molto originali, storia interessante ed enigmi come al solito efficaci. Forse un po' frustranti gli achievements, alcuni davvero impossibili da trovare senza aiuto e senza dover ricominciare uno scenario da capo.
