I remember playing the PC demo for this as a kid, though the game did not live up to what little vague memories I have of that demo. I beat the game on SNES recently but found it to be rather ponderous and tedious. I had to check a walkthrough a couple of times because I missed something small; it is more like a puzzle platformer than a shooter. I did enjoy the story and production value but I did not like much of the gameplay. The way the character moves and turns is painfully sluggish. Running jumps and switches that only temporarily open a door were the most annoying aspects of the game, especially when combined. The combat was not engaging and I especially disliked how you cannot shoot diagonally; instead you must put away your gun and jump up (or down) and start the battle at disadvantage. This is especially annoying when you have to climb up and taking a single hit will knock you off the ledge and cause falling damage.
