The main thing I remember about this game is GREEN. I remember the Xbox cover and the campaign ads that stood out, glowing green like ooze in my treasured video game magazine. I remember seeing some E3 footage but never actually bought the game, or knew anyone who got it when it released. Today I can see it was clearly overlooked.

The visuals in Obi-Wan are great and offers a variety of cozy and colourful levels to explore as you progress through the story. I like the lighting and enemy design the most, with some environments at times leaning towards the dull side. Sound design and voice acting does its job and delivers as expected of Star Wars games from the time.

Controlling your characters jumps, moves and light sabre all feel responsive and is very well designed and ultimately very fun to play around with. The story is engaging and gameplay shows depth if you look closer, so overall I feel like this is an underrated Xbox gem that deserves another look and possibly a remaster/re-release of some sort. I know, I know, but the force is strong with this one.

Official Xbox Magazine was a publication based on pure, unfiltered Xbox hype; a dangerous thing to read for any kid trying to figure out which games were worth spending their meager amounts of cash on. This game taught me to always get a second opinion.

Also, this era of Star Wars games was just the worst. Every level felt like the same exact grey corridor where you mow down endless waves of battle droids to "Duel of the Fates".

Also also, Obi-Wan had a blue lightsaber you hacks.
