The name of the game is supposed to be ironic, but it isn't at all. I completed the main story and a couple of other quests in less than an hour. The controls are pretty clumsy and the camera is fuknig awful. There is no connection with none of the characters and the attempt of any sort of conversation is just completely awful, every dialogue is completely disconnected from everything, and there are no emotions behind any of the plot, it's just boring and flat. apparently, I am the only one who thinks this is not a good game, I would like to see other points of view.

I played both this and To The Moon this weekend and honestly I couldn't have wished for a more wonderful, cosy weekend curled up playing these. Both terrific.

I was scared this would be too much Metroidvania, but it really wasn't. I pretty much rushed through it, it took me exactly one hour to get through, while still doing some side quests, some of which aren't even necessary to beat the game.

The gameplay is terribly simple which adds to the fun, but the actual feel of it is great too. It's really fun to travel through the map faster and faster with upgrades you make (by either exploring or buying objects, mainly feathers). You can walk, run, fly, climb and ride a boat (and maybe more which I might have missed). It all feels very smooth and frustration is pretty much non-existent in this wholesome little adventure.

Oh man, there was a lot of good stuff in this showcase. So excited for Spiritfarer, Garden Story and A Short Hike on Switch. I might hold out for physical copies of each.

Also co-op Goose craziness!

Edit: nope, couldn't wait on A Short Hike. I'll just buy it again if there's a physical edition, lol. The dev deserves all …

such a humble unassuming game
everything combined -- music, story, art, characters, tone, gameplay -- makes this basically a perfect game in my book
im looking forward to seeing what adam makes next
now give me a moment as i recover from that ending 😭

If someone is looking for a whole bunch of great indie games and to support a good cause, look into itch.io’s Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality. 740 games and the money goes to worthy causes, the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and Community Bail Fund.

I 'finished' the game (reached Hawk Peak), but I loved the setting, characters and mood so much that I'm still playing.

I never imagined it had so many secrets, semi-hidden dialogues and details. I'm having a great and chill time with this.

Just started this. (Thank you, Epic Games Store!)

So far it has been a perfect way to decompress after Doom Eternal.

An adventure to the top of the mountain, accompanied by a good soundtrack, in which along the way the player can help others who will give useful items in return, also having to look for and buy Gold feathers, but also dig, fish, etc. A good experience to try.

I loved this!!! Think I'll return to it every now and then like a nice, reliable toy to play with since it was so pleasing to control and look at :)

A Short Hike is going to have the crown of being the first Steam game I'll ever 100%. I used to try and do it on the 360 all the time, and I managed to 100% at least 40 games on there, but I rarely play my console these days, and for some reason achievements on Steam just never clicked …

A Short Hike is going to have the crown of being the first Steam game I'll ever 100%. I used to try and do it on the 360 all the time, and I managed to 100% at least 40 games on there, but I rarely play my console these days, and for some reason achievements on Steam just never clicked with me the way they did on the console. But now, A Short Hike, is going to break that mold. I'm easily gonna get 7 hours out of this little title, and that's WELL worth what it costs. I love this game. GOTY, baby.

This is the single most wholesome thing I've ever played and I am so happy. This bird girl is so cute, I am in love.
