This remaster simply increased resolution and added minor cosmetic improvements, but at its core, this is a very old strategy game which will frustrate most modern players. The campaigns provide plenty of content, but repetition and micromanagement hinder the fun by making you feel like you’re fighting the same strategies every battle. You feel like a babysitter for an undisciplined Roman legion that got lost in antique texture forests. Between micromanagement and visual boredom the fun is lost too quickly.
