At the very core, it is a live service title. There's also a battle pass where the best items are locked (/pay to win).

But that hasn't stopped me putting 32 hours into this since 3 January. I won't be surprised if this is in my top three of most played titles once this year is over.

At the very core, it is a live service title. There's also a battle pass where the best items are locked (/pay to win).

But that hasn't stopped me putting 32 hours into this since 3 January. I won't be surprised if this is in my top three of most played titles once this year is over.

Why have I put in 32 hours? It's oddly addictive for me. Yes, there's not a huge amount of gameplay variety each sortie. Yes, it's meant to be a PvPvE but I have onyl experienced less than 5 vP encounters.

Choose loadout. Pick "mission"/quest to complete. Or none at all and instead seek resources. Sortie. Rinse and repeat.

There's also a separate element of improving your "base" which can take a whole lot of your time. Again, due to having to seek out particular resources. Or crafting particular items.
