This game just really isn't landing for me so far. I'm struggling to care all that much about the protagonist, there's way too much inconsequential exposition, and it feels like very little has actually happened up through what I assume is roughly the halfway point.

I appreciate the unique setting but I keep waiting for something else to click and nothing really has yet. It seems doubtful things will improve.

Just got a code for this to try the 'Adventure Mode' ("non scary mode").

That's great for me because I became an absolute coward in the last decade and can't even try scary games. I wonder what happened. I loved the Silent Hill and Dead Space games.
