OK, so i do like this, but it's not great. its a janky ol girl, but there are still tactical elements that have teeth, and the sector control is better than I'd have expected it to be. At least they got the banter right. They still have the same online 'gun stores' and merc sites... Honestly, a really nice touch …
OK, so i do like this, but it's not great. its a janky ol girl, but there are still tactical elements that have teeth, and the sector control is better than I'd have expected it to be. Honestly, a really nice touch as they capture the feel of Dedrianna and Arulco quite impressively well. In fact, I'd dare say the game captures the spirit and tone of humor even. But, you know something, i think this kind of game just doesn't age well, all those charm elements are fantastic though. The engine is pretty good too even. And it has a lot of complexity to it, (though its not the same kind of engine of the classic, a lot of weapon mods feel somewhat similar, though.)
I do wish it wasn't so difficult and hard to get going... Improving your stats in this is NOT easy and maybe I'm expected to play it slow for years like in the old days and slowly increase and push.. but i lack the patience for that these days. I've been toying with it off and on the past month every now and then. I stream this sometimes for a few people and I'm surprised they like watching me play it (the broken English banter of Ivan, Igor and Barry make for a great eastern European show of absurdity) and i'm BARELY in maybe 20% of the sectors (and thats with maxxing my states using a cheat mod I grabbed over at the Nexus Sites)
also seems to need more random guns, (i'm playing on 'lots of guns' but maybe i just havent found them yet) I also wish there were more items, armor slots, and inventory space.
It seems to be somewhat toned down but only by a smidgen.
All in all not bad JA3, i don't love you like I used to but I'm having a good time with you once in a while, my full metal jacket sweetheart, you're better than the rest of those AK-patterned fakes!❤️
