I just killed every Nazi in the first tunnel in Front Line, ran down the stairs, and through the sewage tunnel with the faulty electrical wire. I strategically took down the Nazi's and planned out my assault. I cannot believe I died because I forgot to use my gas mask.

are unable to run on modern OS-versions, so I'm delighted that I can proceed in the Metro series by playing Last Light Redux. Previously liked Metro 2033 on Windows a lot (but don't ever try Redux Epic Games Store version, it's too buggy). A bit of backstory: I had to start a nomadic life and currently I'm playing only on laptop and handhelds. However, I didn't want to play Metro on Switch.

I also tested some of other games with such labels from my steam library and maybe results may be useful for someone else (I update it from time to time):

1) These are working on macOS Ventura:

Akane

Alisa

Among the Sleep (didn’t try on Steam, but since EGS-version runs well, I suppose that Steam-version is also playable)

Antichamber

Banyu Lintar Angin - Little Storm - (little free game, might be problems)

BattleBlock Theater

Beckett

Bendy and the Ink Machine

A Blind Legend

Bulb Boy

Check it Out!

The Coma: Recut

Concluse

Cooking Companions

Danganronpa: THH (and I suppose that Danganronpa 2 can also run well)

The Descendant (looks like it’s locked at 30 FPS)

Disgaea 2

The End is Nigh

Fidel Dungeon Rescue

Figment

Flashback

Garfield Kart - Furious Racing

Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak

Hotline Miami 2

Iconoclasts

Islanders

Jazzpunk

Kona

The Lion's Song

Luftrausers

Milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk

Minit

NightSky (I needed to restart Steam, only after that the game ran, but it only covers the lower left quarter of the screen, and I didn’t find the solution that is relevant for contemporary macOS versions)

Paratopic

Picross Touch (nice free game)

Post Human W.A.R

A Raven Monologue (little free game, might be problems)

Russian Subway Dogs

Shadow Complex Remastered (but optimization is too bad, at least on Apple Silicon chip)

That Dragon, Cancer

This is the Police

Torchlight II

Wandersong

Wuppo

////

2) These do not run:

Action Henk

Age of Wonders III

Amnesia: The Dark Descent (and I suppose that A Machine for Pigs won't run either)

Anomaly Warzone Earth

Another World

Ape Out (lol, there is a file ‘SORRY MAC BUILD IS NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME YET.txt’ instead of executable in the directory of a game)

Arma: Cold War Assault Mac/Linux

Assassin's Creed II

Audiosurf 2

Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition

Beat Hazard

The Beginner’s Guide

The Bridge

Bejeweled 3

Braid (damn, when will remake come out already??)

Broken Sword 1 - The Shadow of the Templars: Director's Cut

Call of Duty 2

Call of Duty 4: MW

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009)

Cave Story’s Secret Santa (Cave Story itself works and doesn’t have that label about incompatibility)

Command HQ

Cook, Serve, Delicious! 1

Costume Quest

Costume Quest 2

Crayon Physics Deluxe

D: The Game

Frozen Synapse

Garfield Kart

GTA III

Gunpoint

Half-Life 2 (and other Valve games most probably don't work as well)

Homeworld Remastered Collection

Hyper Light Drifter

Jets'n'Guns

Kingdom: Classic

The Last Door

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Monaco

Myst IV: Revelation

NO THING

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty

Oh...Sir!! The Insult Simulator

OlliOlli

OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood

Panzer Corps Gold

The Path

Peggle Deluxe

Peggle Nights

Penumbra: Black Plague

Penumbra Overture

Penumbra: Requiem

Plants vs. Zombies

Pony Island

Rayman Origins

Risc of Rain

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun

Shadow Warrior

Shadowrun Returns

The Silver Case (and I suppose that The 25th Ward won't run either)

Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast

Stick it to the Man

Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Torchlight

Trine 1

Xenonauts

The Wolf Among Us

So they give me a single interesting character to travel with, then kill them, then immediately replace them with a less interesting character. This is a joke, right? This game is just a giant troll, right? Just a never ending slow as molasses escort mission. Why the actual fuck am I playing this.

Ya know, I don't think I've ever requested a refund on a digital game on Xbox, but holy shit this might be the first. This is SO. BAD. lmfao

Do you have to play these as stealth, or can you just go through them as a standard fps? Cause if it's necessary to do stealth, I ain't touching that shit with a ten foot pole.

I have a feeling its going to be similar to my first time playing Fallout 3.

Suitably for christmas, here's what looks like Jesus coming back from his journeys in the Metro. Merry Christmas to everyone on Grouvee, happy gaming:)

Finished off Metro 2033. I firmly believe Metro 2033 is an experience worth having as a gamer. Fantastic experience. Glad I decided to re-play the game before I install Last Light. Not sure when I'll get to Last Light - currently weighing up what to play next, what needs knocking out, what's worth playing etc but I imagine I'll get …

Knocked out two more levels of 2033. Just got to Polis. Still just enjoying the incredible atmosphere that this game cultivates. Takes me back to how blown away I was by Fallout 3 back in 2009.

I recently (around a month ago) purchased Last Light and Exodus on eBay with the expectation of eventually continuing Artyom's journey. A week later there was a massive sale on that included the said games alongside this one. I purchased 2033 with the intention of playing through the trilogy continuously.

Well, needless to say (and quite infuriatingly) Last Light and Exodus have yet to arrive which has been a massive downer. What makes it particularly annoying is that they were on sale for significantly less than what I paid (which was a really good deal at the time!).

In the meantime I started this and played around an hour and a half. I love how much cleaner this feels and looks. I'd almost forgotten how incredible the atmosphere was. I played it on the X360 years upon years ago, deciding to do an all-nighter to do so and really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to replaying this and then in the future - playing Last Light and Exodus.

This was a fun game. I enjoyed it alot more than I thought I would. I loved the post apocalypse survival feeling to it, and the story was interesting. Definitely didn't end quite the way I expected it to, and there were times I was down to a few throwing knives and checkpoint saves. Kudos.

Amazing game play. The enemy AI seems quite well done. The stealth in this game also is quite good. Although I did face some bugs in the game. The shotguns feel quite powerless in this game even at close range, compared with a well placed head shot using a hand gun. Overall a great experience and story. I recommend playing …

I recommend playing with the Russian voice-over as it feels more natural than English in a forced Russian accent.

I decided to finally play these in the lead-up to the release of Exodus. I am really glad I did. They were right up my alley. I really loved them. The world felt so meticulously detailed and atmospheric. I enjoyed listening to all the conversations in the populated areas, especially any that involved children due to their hilariously awkward voice-acting. Some of the gameplay felt clunky, particularly in 2033, but the sense of immersion really made-up for it. I found myself wiping the condensation off my gas mask and burning cobwebs with my lighter just because doing so made me feel so involved in the world. Having to replace your gas mask filter, re-pressurize your gun as well as pump to charge your flashlight are the kind of minutiae I feel really add to the experience of an interesting game.

After finishing them I found myself both very excited for Exodus as well as interested in checking out the novels they are based on.

Creepy undertone that I wouldnt recommend to anyone under the ages of 14, but other than that, its a game I approve of.
