One of the keys to my gaming heart is a job system. Imagine my excitement when I realized archetypes are not Metaphor: ReFantazio’s version of Personas, they are jobs, and you can unlock over forty jobs and even swap jobs/Archetypes around as you see fit. This is even better than I could have possibly hoped!

I told myself that I wanted to play Persona 5 Royal before playing Metaphor Refantazio.

I told myself I didn’t want to play Personal 5 Royal right now because it’s a huge game and I’d rather save it for when I’m off during the December holidays.

Yet here I am, playing Metaphor ReFantazio.

Played a couple hours of this and like it a lot, very promising. Not much else going on for the next few days so the timing is great for the full game to come out. Hopefully holds up through the rest of it.

Demo completed. I've been following this game since its announcement over 7 years ago, and I may have gotten too invested in my personal Hope's for what it would be, because I definitely felt pretty disappointed at first when I saw that it really is basically Persona in a fantasy land. But having played thru about 9 hours I've come around and am absolutely sold on the game. It's not what I wanted it to be but I'm pretty okay with what it is. To my huge surprise, the game actually has some real challenge to it. I'm used to turn based rpgs being braindead easy even on harder difficulties. But on hard mode this game was actually kicking my ass quite a bit until I get the hang of the exploration combat down, and even then, it is extremely punishing. So I'm happy for that, and for those that don't want it I'm sure it's still a breeze on normal or easy. Either way, it's kind of worth it just to listen to my favorite composer do his thing lol.

Damn son, after 8 years! I'm kinda not so much into JRPGs anymore, and this looks to similar to P5, alarmingly so, but still, for the old times' sake, looking forward to it. At least the OST's gonna be a banger.

Im probably the only one really really hype for this, and hopefully there's a little bit of an update in the upcoming e3 that is coming. For I know anything that comes from the tri-factor of atlus will turn into gold. Let's hope for this one too. Definitely excited for this.
