However, it is cursed by a demon who shrouded everything in darkness. Most of the town's population has been trapped inside the darkness, with no means of escape. Edward Turner is just an ordinary man with troubled past, who arrives in the wrong place at the wrong time. He soon finds out that something is very wrong in Dormont. There are strange creatures roaming in the dark, killing everyone that gets close. The only way to survive is by staying in the light. The danger in the dark is not the only thing at play in Dormont. There are strange portals that emanate a bright light, that seem to bring anyone that goes through them to another place, similar yet different, apparently unreal but very real. Actions taken in one place have repercussions in the other. Read less

Those Who Remain puts on a passable front, but once we get past that there’s nothing here that’s worth getting worked up over. With a dull story, tedious searching of areas using unresponsive inputs, scares that never really come and some technical hiccups that make it feel like a last gen title, you’re best off looking elsewhere for your pulse …

Not Worth Remaining For

I put in an hour. The controls, camera, movement, visuals, and story... all subpar.

I could kill time and maybe I would have, but besides the basic puzzles are "action" puzzles where you are avoiding enemies. There is no run and the default controls feel bad enough that even though I do not have any problems doing it, the IDEA of having to do more to progress made me look for the time-to-beat.

6 hours?! No thanks, I think I will just cut my losses.

So not for me.

I played through about an hour or two of this and this game is not for me. What's worse is, I don't know who this game IS for.

It's slow and there's no real coherent plot except the darkness is going to kill you.

You flit from scene to scene with very little connective tissue between what's happening at each …

You flit from scene to scene with very little connective tissue between what's happening at each and in general just have to find the mcguffin to unlock the dohickey to move forward....but just move slowly while doing it.

Again, hard pass not for me. And further, not good.
