From discussions, looks like some future update for Devil mythic path (which is lackluster) shall have a change in script. Looking forward to it.

Welp, just spent the all my free time this weekend building characters and then rerolling within an hour or two. I think I finally found something to stick with... maybe this'll be the time I actually finish an Owlcat game??

I'm just really not having fun, though. I think I just really don't like D&D derived rulesets any more. I only enjoyed about half of my time with my recent Baldur's Gate series replay, and I wasn't really enjoying myself much this time around either. Combat is just so swingy and fiddly without being all that interesting tactically. I don't find Vancian magic systems and the resource management they bring to be even remotely engaging, just another speed bump to actually getting to the parts that should be fun. On top of that, CRPGs are, as a whole, rather plodding games, and Owlcat seems intent on keeping things as slow as possible both design-wise and narratively. Not to mention how it somehow manages to control poorly. I'd give the game an entire extra star if they just made all doorways double-wide.
Anyway, I'm mostly salty because the game is so close to being something I really like so I keep torturing myself into playing more, thinking it'll get fun soon.
