Expectation: SE4 but better

Sniper Elite 5 is a third person shooter in which you explore medium-large sized locations and kill fascists. You can be stealthy, shooty or anything in between.
For comparison: my review of Sniper Elite 4.

Sniper Elite 5 is a third person shooter in which you explore medium-large sized locations and kill fascists. You can be stealthy, shooty or anything in between.
For comparison: my review of Sniper Elite 4.
The Good
- Shoot Nazis, steal the letters they wrote for their families.
- Improved kill cams show you even better how organs and bones get destroyed.
- The best "kill Hitler" mission so far.
- Really nice locations.
- Bigger and better maps.
- Improved weapon unlock system, no more "kill X over Y meters with a SMG" stuff.
- Still the same goofy stuff about Wunderwaffles.
- Amusing special ways to deal with kill list targets.
- Expanded skill system is a big improvement.
The Bad
- They should've made it so XP can be used for weapon unlocks.
- Selling a single pistol as DLC for €4 is gross.
- A few cosmetics locked behind PVP.
Conclusion
SE5 isn't as big a leap forward as previous games but honestly, there isn't that much they could do better. If you like brutally murdering Nazis you'll love this.
