Do you like building fleets and crushing the enemy in brutal combat? Building up an empire step by step? Developing your faction from nothing? Well, in that case, this game probably isn't for you. But if you enjoy playing a game that practically plays itself with almost no input from the player, you might.

DW2 is very complex with lots of different systems, to the point where doing everything yourself seems like unpaid labour. You can automate most of it, but this just gives you the feeling you're not really in control. Early on the game seems fine if a bit dull, but once you expand to other star systems it really does become a sort of management sim in which you assign fleets to guard/attack areas and stuff like that. Maybe you have to be German to enjoy this?
