The Aleste games aren’t really my style, but this is one of the ones I like. Thanks to modders, it was recently made available as a working standalone ROM separate from the collection it originally came from. Playing a game made in the 2020s for the Game Gear makes me wonder what other veteran developers could do with another crack at making 2D games for consoles like the SNES or Genesis, after all they’ve learned. This is definitely a cool thing to have in existence.
