I loved this game, but it had some issues for me especially at the end. The cutscenes being as long as they are grinds the momentum to a halt. Also doing well in the battles and then having a cutscene that shows Clive losing anyway is a little frustrating.

I loved this game, but it had some issues for me especially at the end. The cutscenes being as long as they are grinds the momentum to a halt. Also doing well in the battles and then having a cutscene that shows Clive losing anyway is a little frustrating.
The other big issue is the side quests. Half of them give world building or character development and are worth it overall. The other half are boring fetch quests that won't do that much.

I’m having mixed feelings about this game so far. The combat may get better as the game goes on, but it’s really not clicking with me at all yet, which is unfortunate because combat is such a huge part of it. Really missing the presence of deep RPG mechanics, too.

Still, really enjoying the story and environments for the most part. The music is awesome too. The biggest endorsement so far is that 5 hours have melted away in the blink of an eye and I’m not tired of the game yet.

This game has a level of sex and violence never seen before in the Final Fantasy series. Is this a stunt? Does the story really needs blood and nudity?

Yes, the game shows back and side nudes, but not full frontal in case you're asking.

The fights look so flashy in combat but when it goes to a cutscene it just makes Clive look pathetic, in the cutscenes he never uses any of the powers he gains from the other eikons and most of the time not even his base phoenix abilities.

The bahamut boss fight felt like a downgrade from the titan boss fight to me and I was also very dissapointed that they made clive rely on his brother even though he should be able to handle it himself, evident from past battles.

I see a lot of discourse today on the lack of diversity in this game today, and I just wanted to give my thoughts about it. Keep in mind these are my thoughts only partly through the game.
I think this is kind of a Catch 22 situation. On one hand, having diversity is a good thing. It allows for more perspectives in the story and to allow for players to get representation in a game that they love.
On the other hand, with the themes of this story mostly centering around "magical slavery", I think having more diversity with the characters might have hit a little too close to home with certain people, as the real life events of slavery are not that far into the distant past.
Just my two cents as an enjoyer of the game and as someone who can always find room to grow from discussions like these.

Some people are complaining because this game recalls FFXII memories... and that's pretty good to me.
I won't play this soon, but if no internet connection is confirmed (and it looks like this one will be safe) I will play it someday.
