SkiFree is a casual single-player sports simulator wherein the player uses the keyboard or the mouse to control a skier across a white background representing snow on a mountainside. The object of the game is to ski down an endless slope and avoid the obstacles (trees, stumps, dogs, etc.) The player can also opt to partake in three modes: slalom, freestyle, and tree slalom. In slalom, players must properly ski around flags in an attempt to complete the run with the shortest time possible. Tree slalom adds obstacles to the slalom run. In freestyle, players ski downhill and jump off ramps while racking up points by performing tricks. Deductions are imposed for colliding into obstacles or failing to land properly after a stunt. When the player passes the 2,000-meter mark, the Abominable Snowman appears and starts to chase the player, eating them if it catches them. Read less

Nothing spectacular but nostalgic and simple. Plus I used to try to reach "the edge" of the sides (of course not possible) and the Yeti bit was neat. Really a 2 star but giving an honorary 3 :-p

Yetisport

You ski down a slope, try to evade the obstacles, fall a lot, until a Yeti decides to make you a snack. You start again, because you feel like you can do better, but the result is all the same. You ski down a slope, try to evade the obstacles, fall a lot, until a Yeti decides to make you a snack. You start again, because you feel like you can do better, but the result is all the same. Eventually, you magically dodge the Yeti and feel relieved, but a second one comes and nom-nom. You close the game and forget about it for 15 years until you find it on a gaming site and now you want to play it again for some reason.

It's my Avatar and somehow I still forgot to look it up here. Probably my earliest gaming memory next to Super Mario Land on the GameBoy. Played both of those at my Grandma's place. She's who got me into gaming, isn't that cool? She was pretty good at Tetris, and now still plays mobile games on her iPad.

This was a fun little time waster I used to play on my friend’s PC. I used to think there was an actual end of the ski slope. I thought it was possible to escape the yeti and finish the ski run. Come to find out the ski slope is endless. Early example of a troll game.
