Fun to Play

Took me about 20 hours to complete. It was fun, stress free and relaxing to play. I loved the graphics. One fault was the fishing grrr. Worth the £19.99 that I paid for it.

A relaxing game, right up my alley

This game was relaxing and followed in line with a lot of games that I enjoyed, such as Graveyard Keeper or Moonlighter.

The bad first:

  • the sound effects weren't great on my ears, but that's ignorable/mutable
  • they intentionally pace you out to slow the game progress
  • mini-games cease to be fun after the xth time playing them.

The good:

  • varied solutions to the tetris-like potion puzzles
  • quests don't repeat
  • low pressure allows you to take your time
  • enough fast travel that you're not spending time running everywhere.

Overall, I enjoyed this game as I do for most in the genre and similar. I traded a few old bundled keys for it, and I don't regret my 20 or so hours with it in the slightest.

I am beginning to hate quests in games.
This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

No way, I can no longer like games where there are TOO MANY QUEST...

Such as collect this, kill this.

I want to feel like a free spirit in games, that's why I dropped this game, sigh.

I hope I don't regret it, maybe it became prettier by continuing the gameplay. But probably not for my taste.

One of the finest cozy games out there!
This review is for the PlayStation 5 version

Potion Permit is absolute comfort in an exe file.

Play at your own pace, discover charming characters, enjoy the sights and sounds of Moonbury and find your purpose as a chemist.

This is one of those games that will truly reset you amidst a chaotic time. Platinumed it in a good 26 hour time frame. I really hope they make a sequel.

This has become a good "right before bed, wind down and relax" cozy game. There's no farming, which I don't mind. But all the other cozy elements are there - fishing, collecting items, really simplistic battle system.

So far this has definitely clicked with me better than Stardew Valley, which I couldn't get into. It's definitely inspired by it, but it's lower stakes, which I like. You still do have energy though.
