Beat only because it was free on xbox gold. Adventure games are not really my type and I found most of the gameplay here to be not particularly enjoyable. Beat only because it was free on xbox gold. Adventure games are not really my type and I found most of the gameplay here to be not particularly enjoyable. I would much rather be shooting enemies in a first person shooter or commanding the troops than doing hidden object fetch quests, puzzles, quick time events and runner. The most enjoyable part of the game was driving a tank and shooting stuff. I also liked the educational history channel documentary aspect. The worst parts were the trial and error avoiding death (driving the car, and avoiding shells, machine gun fire etc on foot), and the QTE healing as the girl. I found about 80% of the collectibles and have no desire to ever touch this game again. The music was great and the ending was very heartfelt, getting some tears. I felt the entire game should have focused on that family, and that the black guy and girl as playable characters just detracted from the story of that family.
This was a well made game that was worth the experience, but since the gameplay was not to my taste I am not going to rate it.

Such a brilliant, nice, little indie we have here.
Loved it.
Surprised by Ubisoft didn't melt this game. Valiant Hearts 12:Dog's Revenge.

Valiant Hearts is a beautiful game, the emphasis is on solving small puzzles and developing a very moving plot. The game is short, approximately 6 hours. (...) Valiant Hearts es un juego bellísimo, el énfasis consiste en resolver pequeños acertijos y en el desarrollo de una trama muy conmovedora. El juego es corto, aproximadamente de 6 horas.

A simple but touching game.
It has some beautiful artwork and character. After playing this, I am always so saddened by the trailer yet I always seem to come back to it. It really is incredible how such a simple game could make me so sentimental but it really does speak to how well done it is.

I've been playing through a lot of Valiant Hearts and really enjoying it. Its art style and sound are amazing. I'm absorbing all of the little history texts and really feeling like I'm understand things about World War I I didn't before.
Game wise, it's a bit too easy so far. I don't feel challenged and the puzzles aren't difficult. …
