I don't think there was anything cooler as a kid than Bakugan. Gormiti had tried but failed, Pokémon was cool in videogames but no so much in toys, Beyblade became stale after a few days. But Bakugan? As a kid, that was the shit.
After school, many kids would get together and play some Bakugan while our parents spoke with each other. We would also exchange them and try to lead our own rankings.
So, when the game released, it was an obvious Christmast choice, and you can bet I did have fun as a kid, but even my youth didn't prevent me from seeing the flaws of the game, starting with its nonexistant difficulty or its repetitive gameplay core.
The way the game plays is similar to the series: You and your rival play a card, throw a Bakugan, and when you find each other on the same card, it is revealed and the one with more points win.
The developers probably thought (rightly) that the game needed something else, so they added controlling the Bakugan when you throw it and minigames to add more points before each fight. Both of these things ended up being radically problematic: …

The game ends up being a repetition of the same three actions throught the entirity of it.
A fun game to play as a kid, but a terrible choice to replay as an adult.

Bakugan battle Brawlers is a 2009 action game.NOW Production, the producer of the game, and Activision, the distributor, have done a great job.The story of the game is as follows. One day the player's character meets Dan Kuso, one of the battle Brawlers, who teaches the rules in the fight against Shuji. (In the DS version, you get a Pyrus Serpenoid to start with. In all other versions, you get a Serpenoid, a Juggernoid and a Saurus that matches the attribute: Pyrus, Darkus, Haos, Aquos, Ventus or Subterra; you chose at the beginning of the game). (The Leonidas attribute depends on which attribute you select). Leonidas is an unknown and aggressive Bakugan created by all the hatred and anger of the lost Bakugan trapped in the apocalyptic dimension. In a few fights the player will meet many people, but at the same time a Darkus user, whose name is Marduk, wants to rule the entire Bakugan together with Vladitor, another Bakugan who suddenly appeared. Immediately after Naga received the silent core, the seals holding Vladitor captive in the Doom dimension suddenly broke and he escaped from the Doom dimension. At the end of the tournament, when Dan turns the player into an official Bakugan war Brawler, it is revealed that Marduk has allied with Hal G, Masquerade, and Naga to defeat the war Brawlers and rule the worlds and Bakugans. The player must win the ultimate battle tournament by defeating Dan, Runo, Marucho, Julie, Shun, Masquerade and Omega in a 1-on-1 showdown with Leonidas and Battle Axe Vladitor. After the player wins, both Vladitor and Leonidas disappear, Leonidas and vladitor, after the fight, say that their time is up. Later, the player discovers that Vladitor has given Leonidas his remaining power, saying 'he deserved it', which allows Leonidas to return to the human world, leaving Leonidas to assume that Vladitor is "not that bad". The game ends with the player throwing Leonidas into the air, with both shouting, "Bakugan fight!".The gameplay is as follows. You fight with each character and try to defeat them. The music of the game is beautiful. If you are not too obsessed with graphics and you like retro games, this game is for you.My rating for the game: 10/10 (y) Good games to everyone 🙂
