Meh Sim, but relaxing sailing fo sho.

this one is probably my secret shame of 2019. I put a ton of time into this game and the thing is, the game is very minimal. (where's the game?)

A lot of this game is just sailing from point a to point b. it is repetitive. but its also incredibly relaxing. enter image description here The game is just a fishing simulator where you buy a ship. upgrade it. maybe hire a few crew members to assign them jobs as you head back to port, rinse and repeat. the exploration is minimal, but its a nicely rendered coastal area. the game world isnt too big, but it just takes time to get everywhere. Fortunately, there is fast travel.

Collecting all the ships as you upgrade is functional and fun. Different ships are better at different things, and as you fill up your quota its sensible to just switch to a new ship rather than pay to increase your quota for the year, or inefficiently continue fishing and toss back what you cannot keep.

the game has some balance flaws and some physics issues. its also very bare bones but the game was cool because it teaches you a bit about the world of commercial fishing and functions competently to simulate some of it.

Playing this feels almost a bit like the yacht equivalent of euro truck simulator. so check it out if the idea of sailing around doing nothing important all day while drinking is appealing.

I managed to unlock most of the ships and engaged in trawling. Very complicated and got the hang of it but i'ts not that much fun.

would give this three stars if it was a bit more polished with les bugs/UI quirks & janks or a bit more of a game. enter image description here

simple. kinda silly. but addicting. Sailing is a mix between relaxing and satisfying and sometimes a test of patience. I'll 100% this one for sure.
