A Plague Tale: Innocence is a third-person action-adventure game set in 14th-century France during the Black Death. Players control Amicia, a young girl protecting her little brother Hugo as they flee the Inquisition and navigate environments overrun by swarms of plague rats. Gameplay combines stealth, puzzle-solving, and light combat, with an emphasis on using fire and light to manage the rat hordes.

A Plague Tale is a game so much heart put into the voice acting. It's almost criminal that this game hasn't won the awards it truly deserves especially with narratives, voice acting, music and what not.

Pretty good

Good voice acting and music, gameplay too easy for my taste and combat was a bit clunky, but otherwise a beautiful and suspenseful game :)

Finished the game yesterday. Holy shit the last level was very difficult. A worthy challenge. Several times I wanted to turn off the console but I persevered and got there. Decent game, I enjoyed my time with it. Debating whether to go for the platinum.

Slowly working my way through it. Estimating I'm about a third of the way through. Still greatly enjoying the game, the gore is confronting and there is a lot of nightmare fuel which makes me wonder about the sanity of the protagonist. Still greatly enjoying the game, the gore is confronting and there is a lot of nightmare fuel which makes me wonder about the sanity of the protagonist. How could you go through so much and not be gagging or vomiting? She does comment but I feel like an ejection of dinner would add an extra layer of realism to the character's reaction. Is that weird? Unsure. I'm not usually one for immersion but this came to me when she was wading through rotting corpses with blood dripping from the ceiling. Ain't nobody doing that and coming out the other side unaffected.

However I nearly dropped the game during some of the stealth sequences. There was essentially one path to get through the guards, you had no tools at your disposal, and you had to use stealth with you and your companions. I was in a giant camp full of tents to hide in but the game wouldn't let me go inside them.

I was wrong.

This is the first stealth game that I actually like. Story is great. Music is great. Gameplay is giving me a new stuff to think and do every now and then so it doesn't get repetitive. I started playing yesterday and completed it today so game wasn’t that long. This can be negative or positive aspect. I happen to like short and sweet games so this was perfect. Short and sweet almost AAA quality and immersive experience. I really hope we get more these types of games.

The plot itself is quite interesting, where every scenario is very well done in terms of graphics. But I must warn the animal lovers if they want to play this game they should put a side the emotions a little or will have a hard time to get through the first chapters. The downside in this game is to be scripted, if the player does something out of what is not supposed to do will be unsuccessful. In the other hand there is wasted of resources like the torches that could be used in other areas but are left behind because one of the characters did not pass it when he was climbing. The final battle was ... acceptable, although there are some contradictions.
