I'm having a really hard time deciding if I can recommend this game or not: for starters it's brutally difficult both in the combat and also in navigating the dungeon, added to the fact that sometimes you will get completely screwed by luck and unable to do anything while all your party gets destroyed in seconds, just because you got randomly "surprised" by enemies.

On the other hand, the challenge is quite rewarding and I got addicted to grinding experience points for those amazing high-level spells.

What can I say? Play Wizardry 1 if you hate yourself a little bit :)

This popped up on my radar because i'm looking at this era of CD Rom Consoles and I have to say it looks quite good and these releases on Saturn and PSX look like the best versions of the game. An interesting tid bit is that most of these games (perhaps all?) are actually able to be translated >95% in english if you fiddle with the menus. I didnt know that.

When will I sit down to sink god knows how many frustrating hours into these? Who knows, but if I decide I know which versions of the Llgamyn Saga (Saturn). New Age of Lylgamyn(PSX) and Wizardry VI & VII Complete(Saturn) I want to pick up

You might be getting close to the bottom if you start playing Western RPGs Japanese Style
