Morcys's review of Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky

This is the first and last time since Mana Khemia that we can play as a male character. Both Escha and Logy are pleasant characters, although I must admit that the other characters left no impact at all; they went unnoticed. The story is considerably inferior to the previous installment, but in terms of gameplay, this one is just flawless. It's a very addictive game and considerably easier compared to the previous games, which were a nightmare. It's the most relaxing game I have played so far (in this franchise), although, for the moment, my favorite remains Ayesha. enter image description here

My favourite Atelier since I like escha and logys fun cute dynamic so much and for once the man are interesting and nice looking despite there only being 3 of them.

The character design and ambiance are just mind blowing. It looks like a solid JRPG game.

I'm liking this more than the first Atelier game I played (the previous in the Dusk series) but I'm starting to think Atelier games are more fluff than substance. I'm a big JRPG fan so I really wanted to give these a shot, but this will probably be my last one. NOT that there's anything wrong with fluff, I just...wanted more??

Ok my first impression of this game is that I already love it. The orderly way they've laid out the quests, bonus missions, etc. appeals to the completionist in me who wants to do everything, tic all the boxes, and get 100% high scores on everything, haha.
