I was pretty proud to accomplish something I wasn't able to as a child. I finally unlocked all of the characters in Crash Nitro Kart! It was fun to revisit. Appreciate that there is robust single player content, although it does seem bloated. Having to do 12 courses 3x each at a minimum, 4 bosses, 4 bonus levels, another course 2x minimum, and 4 cups with 3 courses (that we've already repeated multiple times) each and doing all of these things twice is a bit much. The relic races did a good job encouraging me to learn the mechanics and shortcuts more, which is another plus. Game is fun in single player, but I'm not sure how fun it would be in multiplayer because of the higher skill ceiling and lower skill floor than in Mario Kart. If you're playing this on GameCube, Double Dash is the better option. On PS2 and Xbox, not sure what other kart racers exist as competition. There's some moments that felt jank because the hitboxes and collision detection made no sense to me. Overall, I'm happy I came back to this, but not sure if I'd recommend this game to other people who'd want …

Played through the cups in the GameCube version and am impressed. I think I like this better than MK: Double Dash. The boosts and drifting are more fun, IMO.
Just played through the Cups in the GBA version. Really well done! I'm a big fan of arcade/kart racers and am digging this one. Will try out the GameCube version later.
