This game wants to be Undertale so bad.
It just doesn't have the good music, characters, or gameplay. Morton forever, though.

Good concept, but messy
The first hour of this game is incredible. The way it builds, from a basic graphical interface, hangman, to a text adventure, to an rpg - all with a feeling of some sinister undercurrent - is incredibly atmospheric and intriguing. The text adventure section is unbelievable, so compelling and exciting.
But once it gets to the rpg, and the mystery …
The first hour of this game is incredible. The way it builds, from a basic graphical interface, hangman, to a text adventure, to an rpg - all with a feeling of some sinister undercurrent - is incredibly atmospheric and intriguing. The text adventure section is unbelievable, so compelling and exciting.
But once it gets to the rpg, and the mystery of the game takes a huge backseat to a very lifeless rpg with bland characters, mechanics, art - it’s such a grind. And the game really just stays in that pocket for like 80% of the time. And there’s no big payoff, it just kinda squirms and ends.
Comparing it to other meta-narrative games like inscryption, where the gameplay is just as incredible as the mind*^+^ of the game, this just feels very tedious and pointless.
But man that text adventure was so good.
