They finally made another good 007 game! I mean, it's not GoldenEye to be sure, but this is a pretty decent 3rd person shooter with high production value and a story that borders on absurdity, even for a James Bond story. And Willem Dafoe as a Bond villain which, wait how did that never happen in one of the movies? The guy was like, born to play a Bond Villain!

Final Thoughts:
After playing through a bunch of Metal Gear Solid games, it's great to be able to play through a story that's brainless and dumb-fun to enjoy.
This game does have an interesting controls scheme where it's fully played like a 3rd person shooter. You use the L-trigger to lock on enemies Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time style, while using the Right-Stick to fine-tune your aim. The action is pretty fluid as a result between stealth gameplay and gunplay. There's not much else to say about the rest of the game mechanically. It's kind of jank as an early 2000's title, and I still don't ever get the driving physics. Also, mission objectives and where you need to go next can be very unclear.
If anything this makes me miss the super-campy-and-over-the-top-Brosnan era of 007 that's full of terrible dad -joke puns and ridiculous "take over the world schemes", in comparison to the current (as of 2021) Daniel Craig 007 that goes more towards a serious gritty anti-hero direction instead. I wouldn't necessarily say Craig is bad either, as I did enjoy the 2010 Goldeneye Reboot too. It's really just a matter of preference in …

I DO wish more games had more publically available Behind-The-Scenes footage as well. After you beat this game (and 007: Nightfire to my knowledge too), the post-credits scene is actually an exclusive interview with the Devs and actors (including Pierce Brosnan himself) on making this game. I just like learning more about the dev process behind games, like how I also know there was a making-of footage on the cutscenes for Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005). Now these days, most of these talks would be hosted at Game Developers Conference instead.
Console: Another great James Bond game. Although I'm not sure about changing the camera perspective to third-person was a good idea. I mean it allows for better visual action and auto-aim, but sometimes i've wished it would allow me to aim manually.
GBA: Good and fun action game.
I started this yesterday, and got frustrated on the very first level. To end the cold open you have to "escape through the wall", and I eventually had to look up a guide to figure out what the heck it was talking about. I ended up playing two or three more missions and haven't had any more issues, but I'm guessing there'll be more signposting problems later on.
