Attempting to understand the characters and story in this game was like trying to watch Inception, Momento, Mulholland Drive and Cloud Atlas, all for the first time, AT THE SAME TIME! Bayonetta also liked to follow the same routine as its forebears - the Devil May Cry series. You know where the enemies block 99% of your attacks except the one exact ability that they WANT you to use to defeat any give enemy? The ability you hate and can't perform unless you grew up memorizing the combos in every Street Fighter game and 2D brawler arcade cabinet released in the last 20 years. Yeah, that crap. Terrible button mashing garbage. What can I say, the scantily clad heroine must have been what was responsible for selling all those copies. Mash x 4,000 times to destroy 3% of enemies health... so tasteful.
To me, Bayonetta along with Devil May Cry 3 and 4 are of the Difficulty of Dark Souls and Demon's souls put together and multiplied by 10... on roids. And I love Dark souls!
