I am terrible at action games (what...is...combo...), so I had to bite the bullet and lower the difficulty level. I wish there was an easy.5 or something that doesn't actually play the game for you. Even when I get a gold statue I know I am a stone fool at heart.

It does turn it into a wildly entertaining cinematic adventure though. Also, it makes the recycling of enemies less annoying. I am sorry Platinum, next time I will do better!

I started writing an 'in depth' analysis of Bayonetta.
You can read the first part (in spanish). It's about the concept of the witch, the feminity of Bayo and how she's used as a maternal figure in the games.

Great game. Not Hideki Kamiya's strongest, but amazing nonetheless. Took me about a year to finally finish it. Half because I was simultaneously playing it's older brother, Devil May Cry throughout 2019. Also, the Wii U does not do this game service. If you can buy it on PS4, XBONE, Switch, or PC; please do. Half because I was simultaneously playing it's older brother, Devil May Cry throughout 2019. Also, the Wii U does not do this game service. If you can buy it on PS4, XBONE, Switch, or PC; please do. Frame rate and such was fine, it's just that with the large gamepad and the expensive, underdeveloped Pro Controller, it's hard to really get into this game's combat. Just wasn't comfy to play. Definitely rebuying for PS4.

This is a lot of fun.
An action game with a self consciously silly and over the top story. Constant actions, varied levels and a ton of atmosphere. Yes it can be disorientating at times with so many switches, but its meant as non stop fun ride of constant colour and quick gameplay. The game is short but the experience …

The game is short but the experience will stay with you for a long time.

Just picked this up as a download for Switch with the Bayonetta 2 physical copy. For whatever reason, the download code was not working at first which seems to be a common problem. Thankfully, I called Nintendo support and they gave me a new download code immediately, so if you have the same problem, definitely give them a call.

Anyway, I'm only through the prologue so far, but I'm really enjoying it. I am usually always down for an action game with loads of combos and style.

Just picked this up for Switch. 1) Why haven't I played this before, and 2) I can't believe Nintendo published the sequel.

Played the game's best fight (Jeanne 4) and got stuck against Jubileus - can't figure out what's happening half the time. (Awesome visuals though.)
Absolutely loved riding a motorbike up a rocket.

This is not only the second time you fight this boss but also the second time they use the same about "dropping the ball". Really this game is literally twice as long as it should be.

This guy AGAIN? WTF?!
My fucking god. This game is a prime example of how a great, funny and fresh premise can grow stale and boring. About halfway through the game it had shown everything it had to offer and it decided to just repeat and repeat over and over again. The same bosses, the same cheap mechanics. The only …

The only novel aspects were this awful sequences when the game abruptly changed genres.
I'm like 20 hours into this and it hasn't been fun in a while. It's time to press the eject button.

Now this f*ing boss is hard just because you can only attack it for a ridiculously short window.

This game should have ended about 2 or 3 chapters ago.

The Durga Claws are kind of overpowered, I think. Right now I almost forgot any combo that doesn't end with setting a fire charge.
