I think the stand out so far has been the setting and how much the developers have embraced the zaniness of Warhammer 40k. This includes the morality, the enemies, and little touches like actions of NPCs.

The morality is really cool, rather then good or evil choices, all the choices are semi-scummy, instead its Dogmatic (super zealot), Iconclast (anything for your people), Heretical (use what ever weapons for success). This makes the various interactions really compelling because when you commit to the moral style you move down that path and gain more abilities.

Pretty good cRPG

Larian has left the others in the genre too far behind, so, Rogue Trader can't compete in terms of production values, interactivity, combat, and freedom. But the game is still a very solid cRPG if you don't compare it with Larian games. Also, I found the story a bit more interesting and it served as my introduction to W40K. What …

But the game is still a very solid cRPG if you don't compare it with Larian games. Also, I found the story a bit more interesting and it served as my introduction to W40K. What bothers me the most is the length. They don't all have to be 200 hours long, seriously now...

So far (act 2): Story and world amazing, but I do not understand the abilities and talents and are completely lost when I have to level up a character. In tabletop Warhammer 40K I have at least only to level up one char and not 8.

"Allies within 3 cells with 5 or more stacks of The Willies gain 1+(2+WP bonus/2)% to dodge reduction if they're patting their head and rubbing their tummy while attacking adjacent enemies effected by Shiver Me Timbers."

'this item adds 5 perception if you use this power (that you don't have and have no idea what it is) at the start of combat until that users next round if he's not in melee and if he isn't in melee it adds 5 toughness this stacks.'

"Would you like to buff Idira's ability to squint at an enemy and give them a -7.23% to their ability to pet more than one dog simultaneously that takes two rounds to set up?"

"No Owlcat I want something that buffs her fucking chain lightning ability that explodes half the enemies on the first turn."

I guess the talent system is the wet dream of a genius min-maxer with a calculator and a photographic memory but my personal nightmare. It doesen't help that respeccing gets expensive very fast.

Did I say that I enjoy this game greatly, because I do. So far my chars make it through their fights just fine, but I am waiting for the moment where I have to realize I completely messed their skills up. ¯\(ツ)

It was one of the most broken games I've seen in a long time. I played 80 hours but it left me tired as if 80 years had passed. They released the game in an even worse state than Baldur's Gate 3. I guess this is a new trend for game developers. They release buggy as hell and early access games as full versions. After releasing the things that need to be fixed and added before the release, they complete it with updates and additional DLCs. On top of that, they expect extra money for these DLCs. Looking at the current state of the game, it should definitely be avoided. I can easily say that the game was released 1 year early and it will take that long to fix it. The only reason I gave the game this score and was able to finish it is because it's connected to the Warhammer universe, otherwise it really wouldn't have gotten a score higher than 0 from me.

Wow. I got this game yesterday, and played the heck out of it last night. The story, world and systems are super detailed and intricate. Whether or not the game benefits from this intricacy, I'm not sure yet, but I'll find out soon enough. The voice acting is good so far, and I feel like I'm actually going to be …

The voice acting is good so far, and I feel like I'm actually going to be the coolest Rogue Trader™ ever.
