Preliminary: Hm it's a pretty good game so far but it's just missing something. The music isn't bad, the Look isn't bad either tho I don't love either. The controls and collision masks are okay, it feels a bit sluggish at times and some of the collision masks are very broad--both in your favor and not. There seems to be a headache where when I attack I seem to stop my momentum? Especially when jumping? I dunno something clunky with that. I will get through the first "world"/Round and see if I should continue on. Trying to work on feeling obliged to for every genre I like ha.

Yea there is definitely some odd delay when it comes to platforms and attacks and jumps. Hard to explain but quite noticeable. Once I got to the pseudo-Mario-water-level part of Round 2, I decided to call it quits. This is a good platformer, but not doing it for me with my …

Once I got to the pseudo-Mario-water-level part of Round 2, I decided to call it quits. This is a good platformer, but not doing it for me with my expectations for 1990 platformers.

Edit: oh and the wall jump and flame swinging jump gimmicks felt meh within the first few uses.
