What you get from Townscaper depends on what you’re willing to put into it. It’s a city-creation tool with a few surprises up it’s sleeve, but nothing beyond that. It’s simple and adapts to anything you can throw at it. If you find creative games aimless, though, this is perhaps the worst of them.

Peu importe à quel point votre bâtiment est biscornu, Townscaper trouvera un moyen de le faire tenir ! Il ajoutera des échelles, des grues, des escaliers, des fenêtres. Tout ce que vous avez à faire c'est faire glisser pour créer ou retirer des morceaux de constructions, l'ensemble se transformera de lui même. Avec sa patte graphique façon Professeur Layton, ou Les triplettes de Belleville, vous arriverez forcément à un résultat esthétiquement plaisant. Au final, vous n'avez qu'une petite influence sur la création, le choix des couleurs et la forme globale. Mais cela suffit à créer des îlots vraiment uniques, que ce soit une lagune à venise ou un caillou en bretagne.
C'est calme, reposant. On en aurait voulu plus. Malheureusement le créateur a abandonné le projet pour se concentrer sur la plus belle de ses constructions: sa petite fille :)

It doesn’t do anything. I can see why it was so cheap on the Switch. I had to look up some videos to make sure I wasn’t missing anything and I’m not. You build stuff but there’s not really much control over what you build. Roads or buildings, that’s it. There’s nothing to play, not even little villagers you can …

Townscaper was quietly added to Game Pass today. If anyone is looking for a chill game to relax to, do check out Townscaper. It was one of my favourite games last year.

I'm just getting started, but I am loving Townscaper so far. It's about as low stress as a city builder can get, and is aesthetically really appealing to me. There's not much to Townscaper beyond building cute little cities, but it's certainly welcoming.

I've been following this project on Twitter for a while and it's finally available as an Early Access game. Hope it's as good as it was in the videos.
