Its a fun top down brawler with shooter elements. Combat is brutal and using the environment to kill enemies is always fun however on mission 5 (the one where you're in a lab/prison)

I've experienced massive frame rate drops which make the game feel like stop motion at times which made the game simply unplayable in a couple of sections. Huge lag means I can't dodge or attack enemies effectively. Its a massive shame as I really like the game.

Apart from that though the game is good but I ca't ignore the poor performance. Its limited to 2 stars despite it asily being a 3 without tech problems

A very satisfying game; this combines brawl-style beat-em-up combat with moments of twin-stick-esque shooting. If you've played something like Hotline Miami you will know what to expect a little bit - though this game is a far cry from Hotline's almost puzzle-esque set-ups where clearing the room takes some thought. There's definitely a little of that here, but mostly you can get along just by bashing through dudes, rolling around, picking up this weapon or that and bullheadedly pushing through. If you're expecting some depth to the plot or action, might be best to look elsewhere. Unlocking perks is nice and helps with the monotony a little bit (you can upgrade your abilities to include fire, or attacks out of rolls, or upgrade weapon capacity etc.)

But if - like me - something gut-level like this is your jam once in a while, it's well worth picking up (especially when it's on sale.) Game lasts about four hours or so, I'd say. I picked it up for a buck-fifty and got more than my money's worth.
