Stafy is now back at Pufftop Palace, playing with his friend Moe. Ogura, imprisoned inside the Magic Jar, unleashes his children into the sky. Ogura's children cause a series of thunderstorms and earthquakes that shake Pufftop Palace, causing the Magic Jar to shatter and release Ogura.

The game's biggest strength to me is how cute it is. Love the art and animations, Starfy is very expressive. This game is very cute and mellow, but it's also kind of boring. It doesn't really do anything wrong, so I don't think it's a bad game, but it also didn't do much to captivate me or keep me engaged. Music is kinda meh. Power-ups were pretty cool, but they didn't really fill a need until they were necessary, so they didn't feel super impactful either.

Edit: A few other thoughts. The game does way more to teach you via reading signs than through gameplay. The game is also harder to play without knowing how to read Japanese than the first game was. Also wanted to mention that level design starts getting tedious way earlier than the first game.
