This is the only Sierra text adventure and coming to it from the Hi Res series is bizarre because you notice all the genre differences. Suddenly you have long, articulate, creative descriptions, the narration is deeper and there’s that fun use of ASCII to create “graphics”. It also surprised me for how forgiving it is and how funny it is. I though the humour was completely added by Al Lowe when he remade it into Leisure Suit Larry but no, this is a silly game, even though it’s not as demented as the Laffer adventures. Also, I loved the fact that it’s a sci-fi game set in a futuristic world plagued by inflation. Ah, another “surprise”: Al Lowe really, really, really recycled almost everything that is in here (and added a lot of stuff, of course). Anyway, some aspects of it haven’t aged particularly well (I mean, it’s a sex comedy from the early Eighties) but I had fun.
Play: 7/10 Yeah, I wrote most of this as I played the game, so you can kinda see my journey in both the Play and Feel sections separately heh. Point being, this is definitely for adults only, sex drugs disco (gasp, disco!). Anyway, here's my actual start heh: I tend to love the text adventures released initially for Apple II, so I came in excited for this one. Clearly, an absurd name and I assumed an absurd concept, especially for a text adventure heh. Turns out this was a straight-up text text adventure, at least for the '81 release. Kinda unusual for '81, at least for the Apple II. Very descriptive text, tho it wasn't striking enough to read every single word everytime. I'm surprised to come along another purely text text adventure, but then I remembered I'm still finishing up '81. Oooo interesting with the casino setting in general, and the concept of gambling in the text adventure (tho I had seen it before). Of course, with the ability to save (as slow as that is), it's kinda silly, but it reminded me of the feeling of the card games etc. in games like FFIX that will come later. …

This chronology project is going to take me forever once I'm in the late 80s and 90s and, goodness, the 00s, cuz minigames and optional quests are going to allure me heh. Oh, and Pokemon casino came to mind too. This may be the first I've come across with 2 actual games to gamble on. Maybe I'm just forgetting a game heh. Oo wow nice, so there's multiple settings (you can definitely tell I wrote this as I played it, thinking it'd just be a quick silly adult-oriented text adventure). Pretty much, a very niche text adventure that could be worth a playthrough or playtest. Definitely read up on it first, tho, heh..
Feel: 7/10
Again, you can see my journey; I didn't even notice any sort of "wordiness" as the game developed, just at the very beginning. It was almost too wordy for me to fully engage. Usually I prefer the more descriptive text adventures, but hm, for some reason wasn't clicking. Maybe it's the way it was written. At least there was some good humor along the way, well decent humor I should say
Later, lol, the wait did take long
The plotline wound up being quite interesting, fun to
Attachment: 8/10 I can't deny I really liked the Slots and 21 games, and was oddly sucked into the text adventure gameplay itself. Sign of a well-made text adventure, but what an absurd concept. Definitely don't let kids read this. You will find some decent humor, but for the most part, the comedy and plotline are footnotes to the oddly fun game itself. Worth a try if you like text adventures, and it certainly is unique and absurd enough that I will probly mention/show it to my brother. Tsk tsk tsk. Even with parts that made me mad, and even with this not being some phenomenal game, one thing is for sure: I won't be forgetting it heh, which is a big part of the Attachment rating.
